Purpose

The "fantasies process" is designed to break the barriers of our self-imposed boundaries and help us connect with the deepest layers of our aspirations. By tapping into our boundless imaginations, we can unlock fresh insights about our authentic passions, dreams, and desires.

<aside> 🧠 The purpose of the exercise is not to reach goals that we will later necessarily make into a reality. Some of the fantasies might be impossible to implement. But this exercise will uncover important elements that will help guide later stages in the process.

Preparation

  1. Setting the Environment: Choose a tranquil environment, free from disturbances. This could be a cozy corner in your room, a peaceful outdoor setting, or any place that gives you comfort and serenity.
  2. Tools Ready: Have a device to make an audio recording, and a journal or notebook nearby for later reflection.

Instructions

  1. Settling In: Sit comfortably in your chosen spot. Allow yourself to sink into the present moment, disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

  2. Breathing: Close your eyes and take deep, slow breaths. With every exhale, let go of any tension or stress, feeling your body and mind becoming more relaxed with each passing moment.

  3. Visualization: Using the guiding questions below, dive deep into your imagination. Visualize an ideal reality without limitations. Explore the intricate details of this world – the sights, sounds, fragrances, sensations, and especially your feelings.

    <aside> 🌟 Do not limit yourself in any way! What you imagine does not have to be realistic. The purpose is to bring you into an emotional experience of passion and excitement.

  4. Sharing and Recording: If you have a partner for this exercise, share your experiences vividly. If you’re doing this solo, speak out loud as if explaining to someone. Record this session for later introspection.

  5. Reflection: At a later time, listen to your recording. Jot down the main points and feelings in your journal. This material will be useful for later stages of the process.

Guiding questions

  1. Ideal Universe: If the universe was crafted solely to your liking, what marvels would it contain? How would you want and to in this world?
  2. Boundless Resources: Picture a reality where resources – time, money, skills – have no limits. Where would your heart lead you? What wonders would you create or experience?
  3. Life’s Cheat Mode: In video games, cheat modes allow you to override the game's usual rules. Now, imagine if life offered you such a mode. What shortcuts would you take? What grand achievements would you unlock in record time?
  4. Walk in Another’s Shoes: If you could live a day in the life of any person—past, present, or fictional—who would it be? What experiences or perspectives do you hope to gain?
  5. Dreamscapes: Delve into the most vibrant exciting dream scenarios you can remember from your past. What elements from these dreams would you integrate or change in your ideal reality?
  6. Mastery in Moments: If you could instantly master any skill or craft, which would it be? How would you use this newfound proficiency to enhance your life or the lives of others?
  7. Genie: You rub a mysterious, ancient lamp and a Genie emerges, granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? I could be anything you desire. These wishes have the power to change your life, the world, or even the very fabric of reality itself.
