- Emotions: high frequency of positive emotions and low frequency of negative emotions.
- Self-esteem: a positive evaluation of oneself, self-acceptance, self-confidence
- Safety: a feeling that one is secure in the world, and one’s needs will be met

- Accomplishment: experiencing achievement, competence, and success
- Meaning: a sense of purpose and direction in life
- Optimism: expectations of positive experiences in the future
